When we develop sites at brandiD, we always include forms like opt-ins and contact forms. These are powered by our favorite tool Gravity Forms. Setting up notifications for when a user fills out your form is important to staying in touch with your customers.
Unfortunately, the way phpmail() sends emails can cause these notification messages to hit your spam filter. Below are the steps for preventing this and ensuring delivery of that potentially huge customer.
NOTE: These steps are based on using Google Apps for Business. It should also work in Gmail. If you use exchange or another email provider, please contact your host.
First using search in Google Apps, search for from:@yourdomain.com.
At the bottom of the search window, click Create filter with this Search>>. Finally select the Never send to Spam option.
Now all the notifications should be delivered to your inbox. Need more help with Gravity Forms or Google Apps? Contact brandiD today to get help with your latest project.
