At brandiD, we love finding things to celebrate, daily. What we love even more? When we get to celebrate a personal brand coming to life online. The brandiD Celebrates column here on the blog spotlights the launch of our clients’ online headquarters.

Today we’re singing happy (online) birthday to zeitcaster.com and chatting with founder, Gary Kahn.
Zietcaster is an online app that allows you to find events and activities happening in your local area. Gary first came to brandiD looking for help creating Zietcaster’s website—as well as defining the key messages and writing text that would clearly explain his service to people finding his site for the first time.
Happy (online) birthday, Gary! We’d love for you to share a little about your experience with our readers. Tell us, what was the main problem Zeitcaster was facing prior to working with brandiD?
As it happens in many businesses, we were too close to the project of rebranding our site and were having a hard time describing our services in a straight-forward way to newcomers. We’re also a team of programmers—not writers or marketers—so that wasn’t making things any easier.
What were you most looking to get out of partnering with brandiD?
We had two main objectives. First, we wanted to clearly identify our target market and explain our service to them in plain English. We also wanted to make our site more attractive to our customers. An additional goal was to work with a group who was technically proficient.
What did you uncover about your business while working with brandiD?
We identified the target market we thought would be most likely to use our service—and that helped us simplify our offerings. Being programmers, we tend to get stuck in the details and technical aspect, and brandiD helped us see the big picture.
What did you enjoy most about the process of working with the brandID team?
Every person we worked with was good at their job. I liked that they had an expert for every part of the project. The brandiD team was also excellent at tying it all together and communicating effectively.
We know it’s early, but have you seen any results from working with brandiD?
We’re a relatively new service, so it’s hard to measure the results right now—but we have seen a consistent flow of new customers and we’re finding that the number of returning customers is going up.
What would you tell others about working with the brandiD team?
Working with the brandiD team was one of the best decisions we’ve made as a young company. They helped us improve our site, our brand and our message in ways that we simply could not do on our own. They have clearly done this many times before, as there is a system they use to get as much information as they can to tailor your site and message to your unique vision.
We felt that every person we spoke with was an expert in their field. At every step of the way we felt like we were being guided down a well-worn path. We don’t know much about marketing and we felt like brandiD helped us sculpt our message and learn how to speak with our audience in a clear way. We look forward to continuing our work with them in the future.
