“A design is worth a thousand words—if you know what are you trying to say.”
You’ll find Kerstin’s art on painted canvases and in designs on the web, and she loves working in both mediums. A computer science major turned passionate artist, she has been creating pretty interfaces of all kinds non-stop for the last 16 years.
After moving to Minnesota from her homeland of Sweden a few years ago, Kerstin sold her paintings in the famed Mall Of America. The experience helped her get up close and personal with the medium of art, seeing what spoke to viewers with its clarity of design and what didn’t. Now she’s putting that skill set into the digital world with brandiD. She loves the challenge of creating vibrant, clean, easy-to-navigate user interfaces that appeal to each site’s target market. For Kerstin, being creative is second nature, but making sure a design appeals to a specific audience…that’s what makes things interesting!
When she isn’t working or parenting her three vibrant young daughters, Kerstin finds her joy in deep breaths of fresh air. Being outdoors running, ice skating, skiing, or swimming in lakes helps her get back to the basics and return to work revitalized and able to excel again with a clear mind and a fresh outlook.
